Testimonials

Personal Training Clients

Jim G. 2006: I had a major stroke on my left side, unable to grip, barely able to walk, drop-foot. After 6 months, Chet helped me to reduce my pain, regain much of my grip, walk forward and backward wihout support, improve my ability to hold myself up. Most of all, he helped me regain my sense of humour and will to live.

Eleanor July 12, 2007: I wish I had met you 10 years earlier, Pat. My life now would have been so much better.

N.C. Dec. 2009: When I decided that I needed the services of a personal trainer, I turned to Chet. I had taken fitness classes with Chet and was impressed with the exercises that were both thorough and challenging, but geared for seniors. He could always offer an alternative if required. His manner was very calming.

I continued with Chet because I realized that I was becoming more mindful of my behaviour. I also became aware of changes I needed to make in order to attain the physical and emotional fitness level that would allow me to continue an active lifestyle for many years. Chet is a good listener, and sometimes that was as important as the exercises that we did. His observations and suggestions were always insightful.

He took a holistic approach integrating my personal needs with my lifestyle. My exercises were appropriate for my age, and fitness level and were challenging. Nutritional approach was very helpful and I appreciate the strategies that we developed and the self-awareness that emerged. We developed a program that I can continue on my own.

WaterART Instructor Workshops

Healthy Weight Management I wanted to thank you both again, for an awesome day on Saturday. I cannot remember when I learned so much in one day! I learned even more, when I went to all the web sites you suggested. What great resources! I think all WaterArt instructors should go to this course. It would compliment their existing teaching. Bev Robinson PT (Elmira)

Arthritis Land Instructor Oct. 2009: I learned so much! Learning about fitness sure is a very fluid and ongoing process. I like that. I have to tell you that I often get peer "White Coat Syndrome" when I am with a group of peers and am called on to impart information. I was made to feel very supported and comfortable in your studio, and did not get anxious at all. It was a great learning environment. Besides; where else can you learn, and get homemade Borsht Soup at the same time. M.F.

CPR Certification Workshops (CanFitPro & Heart & Stroke)

CPR: Sept 2009: Excellent knowledge & delivery, so much energy, very sweet & dedicated.

CPR: Oct 2009: Very knowledgeable, entertaining, and organized. My pro trainer is excellent. Everything was covered; it was excellent. Pace, length was perfect.

This was fantastic! It was so practical and hands-on. The scenarios provided were great. Perfect! Great timing! Great stories and experiences!

CPR: Nov 4, 2009: Great on giving various real life situations. Lots of hands-on!

I took the CPR course from Pat in 2008, and actually saved a life at Goodlife Georgetown. I knew what to do. Clearly, Pat taught me effectively. I came back in 2009 for my recert.

CPR: Sept 2009: Just a quick note to thank you for the CPR training. CPR is a tool that everyone should know how to do. Your knowledge of the subject is excellent, your class was fun and your personality is great. I will never forget 2-30-5. B. F.

I attended a recert CPR A class with Pat (my 2nd time attending) and she was very excited about the fact that I had the opportunity ro administer CPR to a member at our fitness club. Her class was definitely the reason I was prepared to correctly complete the CPR on this member until paramedics arrived. Pat is a great instructor and provides a great class with her presentation, thoroughness, and her real life, quick-thinking scenarios. I appreciate her enthusiasm and pride with my successful accomplishment. I actually received a thank you card from the woman who had collapsed in a Body Attack class; she made a 100% recovery. Thank you, CanFitPro, for providing myself and many other health professionals with a teacher like Pat so that we are ready for these situations. E.J. Guelph

I give full credit to Pat for providing me the cool-headed confidence to do what had to be done. A construction worker had collapsed and another worker flagged me down to help. I administered CPR until help arrived. CTV interviewed me, and the policeman congratulated me. I felt so good to have saved a life. Thank you, Pat. C.P-H. Guelph

CPR: Aug 30, 2010: Very informative.  Trainer kept material engaging & thorough. Very interactive presentation.  Lots of relevant experience to share with class.  Content well-organied & delivered efficiently.  Straightforward & easy. I've experienced many Red Cross & St. John CPR certs in the past.  This one ranks as the best.  R. H. - PTS, Toronto

CPR: Jan. 29, 2011: (Heart & Stroke BLS) Could now save a life and use AED with confidence.  I feel more confident that I can react immediately and effectively to a crisis without thinking. (SO Waterloo)  Cost was more than fair.  Time well spent.  In an emergency is anyone really 100% prepared? But our chances are now much greater!  (NT Guelph)  I'm no longer scared of doing CPR - I wanted to learn about infants and we covered everything. (KD Guelph)
